✨ The Tiny Lights That Make My Cards Come to Life
Sometimes the smallest detail is the one that makes someone say, “Wait…how did you DO that?!”
These little battery-operated fairy lights are one of my favorite ways to add a bit of unexpected magic to my handmade greeting cards and craft projects. I tuck the tiny silver-wire lights into my designs so parts of the card actually light up and glow. They’re especially fun for Christmas cards, birthday cards, little houses and windows, stars, flowers, and anything that could use a little extra sparkle.
Because the wire is so thin and flexible, I can shape and hide it within a project much more easily than I could with traditional string lights. And since each strand has its own small battery pack, there’s no cord or outlet needed.
I love creating things that feel a little unexpected—and adding actual twinkling lights to a handmade card definitely qualifies.
Kim’s tip: Don’t save these just for cards! Try them inside mason jars, shadow boxes, paper crafts, centerpieces, gift packages, or other handmade projects that need a little glow.
