Double Z Fun Fold Tutorial - Fun Fold Cardmaking Made Easy

Updated: Sep 7

Do you love fun folds as much as I do? Today, I’m excited to share a Double Z Fold Card Tutorial that you can easily recreate at home! This interactive fold creates such a beautiful layered effect that really makes your handmade card stand out. It’s the perfect way to brighten someone’s day or send a heartfelt message in style.

For this project, I used:

  • Cajun Craze Cardstock – Shop here

  • Regals 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper – Shop here

And of course, to create clean folds and crisp lines, I always reach for my Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer. It includes both a cutting and a scoring blade, making it one of my most-used tools. – Get yours here.

Why I Love This Fold

The Double Z Fold is one of those fun folds that looks extra fancy, but it’s surprisingly easy to create. It lays flat for mailing yet pops open for a real “wow” factor when displayed. Plus, it’s versatile—you can dress it up with patterned paper, add stamping details, or keep it simple with bold cardstock.

Let’s Create Together

I’d love to see your version of this Double Z Fold Card! Try it out with your favorite Designer Series Paper and share your results with me. Be sure to leave a comment on my video letting me know what you think—and don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss my next fun fold tutorial.

What a fun design Kim. I love a good Z fold but have not tried the double version. Definitely one to go on my list. A bit of a showstopper!
