🌸 Funky Fold Blog Hop – Tent Fold with Fragrant Layers 🌸

Updated: 3 days ago

Welcome to another stop on the Funky Fold Blog Hop! If you love folds that look impressive but are still easy to create, today’s project is for you. I’m sharing a Tent Fold Card featuring the beautiful Fragrant Layers stamps. This fold gives great dimension and creates a sturdy standing card that’s perfect for displaying.

✨ About Today’s Card

I kept the design soft and elegant so the stamped florals could really shine. The layered images and gentle shaping from the tent fold create a card that feels special without being complicated.

📐 Cardstock Cutting & Scoring

Card Base:

  • 1 piece of cardstock: 4.25" x 11"

  • Score at ½", 1", and 5½"

  • Flip and score again at ½" and 1" from the opposite end

Folding Instructions:

  1. Fold the cardstock in half at the 5½" score line.

  2. Create a Z fold on each end using the ½" and 1" score lines.

  3. Nest the two Z folds inside each other.

  4. Use Tear & Tape to secure the Z folds together.

This creates the tent-style structure that allows the card to stand on its own.

🗓 Calendar Accent

I added a small calendar element to the front of my card for an extra fun detail.

  • Calendar purchased from Taylored Expressions

  • Backed with cardstock measuring 2.5" x 3.25"

  • Attached with Tear & Tape to ensure a strong, permanent hold

For elements like this that get handled or have weight, Tear & Tape is one of the best adhesives to prevent lifting or coming unglued.

💡 Tip

This fold works beautifully for florals, sentiments, seasonal themes, or even small photos. Once you try it, you’ll see how versatile it is!

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today! Be sure to continue through the Funky Fold Blog Hop for more creative fold inspiration.
