A Handmade Paper Snowflake Ornament ❄️🎄

3 min read

One 6" x 6" piece of paper, a little creativity, and a whole lot of Christmas JOY!

Oh my goodness, friends! I am SO excited to share my latest project for the

Handmade Holiday Hop!

You know how much I love taking something simple and turning it into something beautiful. Well, today's project is exactly that!

Would you believe this beautiful, dimensional Christmas ornament starts with just ONE 6" x 6" piece of Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper?!

That's right! We're cutting our paper into 1/2" strips, creating some fun loops, and transforming those strips into a gorgeous handmade ornament!

And here's what I especially love about this project — the possibilities are ENDLESS!

Imagine these hanging on your Christmas tree in traditional reds and greens, elegant golds and creams, or even whimsical pinks and blues! You could coordinate them with your holiday decorating, use them as gift toppers, or create a whole collection to give as handmade gifts.

And you KNOW how much I love a handmade gift! ❤️

✂️ Let's Make Some Christmas Magic!

In today's YouTube tutorial, I'm walking you through the entire process, step by step.

We'll take our 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut it into strips, and create those beautiful dimensional loops that give this ornament its unique snowflake shape.

I'll show you how everything comes together, so you can make one (or a dozen!) of your very own.

Here's what you'll need:

  • One 6" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper

  • Paper trimmer

  • Adhesive

  • Ribbon for hanging

  • A stamped sentiment or embellishment for the center

I used a beautiful vintage-inspired Christmas paper with musical notes and holiday patterns (Yuletide Carol DSP), finished with a sweet "Christmas Joy" sentiment and a white ribbon bow. I just LOVE how it turned out!
